2010 New Year's Collection!

Hey everyone!  I just wanted to announce to all of you that there will be 10 new colors entering the shop to help ring in the new year!!!  The names of the colors below obviously have nothing to do with New Year's or anything like that.  I just wanted to take the opportunity to introduce some newness to all of you who have been asking about new colors, etc.  So, without further adieu, here they are...

By the way, you can click on the images to see a larger view.

Now, here's the coolest part...  The first person to comment below telling me the musical artist/entertainer the color names are inspired by will receive a FREE sample set with each of the colors listed!!!  Do you know who it is?  :)

Marilyn Manson?

And Tabitha is CORRECT!!! I'm slightly obsessed with him, so I thought I'd do a set based on his art. Is that creepy? LOL!

Not at all! That's actually really cool!

Hehe. Thanks! I may start doing more collections like this, basing a set of colors on just one artist. I like that idea, even though my store would eventually be filled to the brim with colors mostly inspired by heavy metal. LOL! :)

I just sent you an email. :)

I've never really listened to much Heavy Metal.
I like alot of slow sappy stuff. lol.
But, if you did some colors based on NSYNC or something like that, I'd be all for it! :D
LOL!

Oh, I'm a big fan of Marilyn Manson! The colors are so nice too ;D

Veronica said...

@Tabitha I might one of these days! You never know! :)

@Nea I never would have guessed you were a fan! :) My 6-year-old daughter actually created "Things That Cannot Speak". I gave her guidance on measuring, but that's about it! :) That one is all her!

I was wayyy too late haha! I absolutely love all these colors!

And tell your daughter she's amazing...I love Things That Cannot Speak, I think its my favorite XD

Veronica said...

@Lisa Kate Yeah, I know she is! She's helped me with several... The other ones I remember off the top of my head are "Bad Seed" and "Julia Dream"...but I think she's actually assisted with a few others as well.

By the way, guys... Can any of you tell me what MM song or album titles the names came from? :) I might have a perk for the first one who can tell me at least five of them. :)

Crippled Plaything is from Tourniquet
Things that cannot speak is from is also from Tourniquet (I think?)
Dirty Word Witchcraft is from Putting Holes in Happiness
Don't Forget the Violence is from This is the New Shit
Eat Me, Drink Me is from Eat Me, Drink Me (haha that one was easy XD)
Old Fashion Facism is from Beautiful People!!

Thats all I can remember :/

Yay, Lisa Kate!!! Guess I'll have to send you a sample set too! XD

And yes, you're right about Tourniquet. ***She's made of hair and bone and little teeth...and THINGS THAT CANNOT SPEAK. She comes on like a CRIPPLED PLAYTHING...her spine is just a string.***

PS...I got my order today!! The Xmas colors are soooo beautiful! And the Amore blush looks amazing! At first when I saw it, I was like "theres no way I can wear this" but I tested it and it goes on so beautifully!!

Lisa Kate said...

Haha awesome!! I'm so excited XD That was hard, I had to dig deep into my teenage to think of those songs!! It totally made me want to listen to some MM though!

Veronica said...

@Lisa Kate Glad you got the order in okay! :) I personally LOVE the color Silver Bells. It turned out better than I dreamed it would and is my new favorite silver. :) And the gel blush...yeah, a lot of people have said they look too bright/dark for them. They're actually really sheer...but it only takes a smidge! :)

I've been listening to MM non-stop since I started this collection. I've even had strange dreams about him! LOL. Guess that's evidence of REALLY being consumed in your work??? (It doesn't help matters that I'm madly in love with him, does it? LOL)

I think I want to do a tutorial on some of his looks...not the crazy smeared black lipstick ones...but something like his look from "Long Hard Road Out of Hell" or something. I think he was absolutely beautiful in "Coma White"... I just got fire-engine red in my hair, and that video inspired it.

oh my goodness. I wouldn't have known for anything...The colors are gorgeous but I have never listened to any MM. I am older and he is too creepy for me....

Veronica said...

@krista I know what you mean. A lot of people find him creepy. :) (My mom is right there along with you!) :) He definitely markets to a unique and specific demographic.

I personally love how deep and dark his lyrics are. He actually has a very uplifting message to society's "outcasts" in many of his songs. I think he's gotten a bad rap for simply stating what others feel but are afraid to say. But if you've ever seen any of his interviews, you will find that he is EXTREMELY intelligent and a marketing genius. :)

Marilyn Manson is hawt :> I love his sarcasm in interviews and I have to watch a clip of him performing 'This is Halloween' every once in a while :)
